Swedish reggae artist General Knas (Ivan Olausson Klatil) and several activists have launched MedCan, a patient association advocating for medical cannabis. The initiative comes as the Swedish government agency TLV proposes to end subsidies for cannabis-based medicine. In less than 24 hours, MedCan gathered over 250 signatures in protest. The group argues that removing the cost ceiling risks shutting out vulnerable patients from essential treatments and demands that the government reconsider the proposed changes.
