Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård was caught with cannabis in his backpack at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. He has now been sentenced to pay fines for a minor drug offense. The young but well-known actor is fined 40,000 SEK, about 3850 USD, by a District Court in the capital. The actor was detained during a check at Arlanda Airport on Thursday, October 5th last year, after 2.43 grams of cannabis were discovered in his backpack. At the time of his arrest, he was en route TO Amsterdam. A fact that social media have been giggling about. Why bring weed to the Mekka of cannabis?
During interrogation, Skarsgård admitted to having the drugs in his bag but claimed ignorance about how they got there. He explained the presence of the drugs by stating he had lent his backpack to friends but could not recall to whom. He also stated that he does not use cannabis or any other drugs. Skarsgård has a successful career, having appeared in numerous major movies like for example the classic horror “It” and Deadpool 2.
